Shine ON***

Has it ever occurred to you that the way we try to motivate or encourage another person may (sometimes) actually be negative? Or attracting negativity into our lives? What am I saying?  Think about it,  sometimes when we approach someone to discuss an issue, we think we are being positive, but if we look at our conversation we may find we are actually speaking more negative words than positive ones.  A lot of the time we concentrate on the negative, what that person is doing wrong. So if we are discussing the negative to get them to be positive…… what are the chances we will all get bogged down in the negativity?

What I am trying to say is this……

I want YOU to know that no matter what is happening in your life YOU have the strength to get through it! Not only will you get through it, you will come out stronger for having gone through it!  I have heard it said you have to breakdown to breakthrough. Maybe we should consider whatever challenges we are facing moments of growth!

Don’t give up.  Don’t fill your day with worry (Phil 4:6 comes to mind) make room in your thoughts for a “knowing” that you are stronger than you think and will be OK!  Feel strengthened today! And feel supported. I’m sending you prayers that you will realize your strength and that you will SHINE on!

See what I did there? I just stopped and encouraged. No negativity…..challenges; yes, we all have them!  But our lives are filled with challenges and always will be. We are strong! We are capable!

I SEE Greatness In YOU!

surround yourself with dreamers

I spend my time, by choice, with those who see goodness and potential in me! Well…that is how it’s supposed to be. We all should encourage each other every day. I am sure the opportunity to encourage another arises more often than we realize. And we should make an effort to surround ourselves with people who encourage us and we encourage.  I think we should be around people who know how to dream and think it is awesome when you dream and think YOU are awesome. These people help us to grow.

it is always our choice who we give our time to. Yes, sometimes we get into situations where we have no choice but to be around people who drain our energy, people who seem to always look at the cup as being half empty.  While we may have no choice at times than to be around people like this, there are things we can do to help ourselves in these situations!  We can pray, we can meditate, we can call on our army of heavenly soldiers to bolster us up with a shield of protection. And yes, we can spend a few minutes in silent meditation, breath in breath out, even while in a room filled with other people. OR we can succumb to their draining ways and join in on the negative talk and actions…..which I am sure will make us feel so much better!  <——- sarcasm!

OK sarcasm aside, it is our choice how we maneuver through the challenges of life, nobody said it would always be a piece of cake, but there are tools we can use if we choose to.

I choose to!

Buried Head Syndrome! Do you have it?

I know the cartoon is talking about qualities not actually attitudes or thoughts, but I like the cartoon! And we are what we think, right? So……

Where do you put your thoughts? Are you aware of your positive & negative thoughts? Do you really stop to think about where it is that you put your thoughts? Do you really WANT to? Or would you rather bury your head in the sand?

Awareness is a beautiful thing that you should take advantage of! Awareness will not only let you know if you are being positive or negative, it also has the ability to STOP the flow of your thoughts long enough that IF they were negative you can now change them to positive. Your choice remember? You can use your awareness as a learning tool. A changing of habit tool! Do not be afraid of learning who you really are. 🙂

Your thoughts, your choice, your life!
