What an honor it was to be asked by my friend Ellie at New Creations Ministries to participate in the Writer’s Blogging Tour. I have followed Ellie’s writing for about 2 years now! The first thing that caught my eye about Ellie and her writing was the topic : Nutrition! At the time I was deeply into nutrition (not that I am not now…but) and her blog looked at nutrition and spirituality! The combination was something that spoke to me deeply. Her writing is always deep, insightful, and entertaining! Easy to read and filled with helpful and thought-provoking information! I urge you to check out her blog and see for yourself.
The rules to The Blogger’s Writing Tour are simple: answer 4 questions about your writing or projects you’re working on and choose 3 people to invite into the tour. Then give them a Monday to post on. Easy right?
The talented writer who has graciously consented to join me on the Writer’s Blogging Tour:
Brenda Silveira- I M Confident Brenda is one of the sweetest and most encouraging women I have had the pleasure of getting to know here in the WP world! Her writing, as you can plainly see (by visiting her blog!) is both encouraging and inspiring! Brenda has been one of my cheerleaders here on WP; whether she knows it or not! I can always count on hearing an encouraging word from her when I post! Brenda is the Author of Caterpillar to Butterfly Self-esteem Workbook as well as the owner/writer at her blog where she writes articles that are both empowering and build confidence! Please follow her link to read her blog and see what project she is working on!
I thank Brenda for taking time out of her busy schedules to participate. Her Writer’s Tour posts can be read sometime after Oct 6th, 2014
Now as for my project:
1. What are you currently working on/writing?
My current project is a book on Forgiveness, Gratitude, and Unconditional Love! I have worked on this project for 3 years! It has taken many turns along the way and while the basic theme of the book/subject has not changed; it has grown in-depth and content over these 3 years! I keep adding to it and with God’s help I know I will finish soon! I write freelance articles on these subjects and have one coming out in Unity Magazine soon! I also write at EzineArticles; I write under the name Christine Frame Martin; please follow my link on my blog to read my articles.
2. How is what you write different from others of the same genre?
I believe my writing speaks to everyone. While some books may reach out to certain religions or different levels of enlightened people; I think my book, my writing style, is easy to understand and sets itself apart by being for everyone….new to the spiritual realm or already enlightened.
3. Why do you write what you do?
I went through a period in my life that I refer to as my “dark night of the soul”. At that time I struggled with being grateful and happy with what I had. I had a lot of earlier trauma that I needed to get through in my life and I had no idea where to begin. This is what brought on my Dark Night…. as I emerged from that time in my life and began to grow, I was led to study everything to do with gratitude, forgiveness, and unconditional love, it is where God has led me and who am I to argue?
As I became the person God intended for me to be, He led me to know that I needed to use my journey and new-found knowledge to help others. I want to help others get through their times of struggle a little easier than I did mine. Each of us has a purpose and each situation, each trauma that we endure is for a reason. This I believe was the reason for mine. I embrace all that I am and writing is a huge part of who I am. it is my passion.
4. What is your creative process?
My creative process? Life. 🙂 Seriously! Each day I awake and take a look around. Life inspires me. I am the type of writer who needs to be surrounded by activity (whether real-time or virtual) to get my creative juices flowing. I know when I need inspiration I can read a book or sit in a café and just watch people. It will come to me. And once it does I need to retreat to a quiet place and pray. Then write.
And about prayer. My relationship with God, Divine, Universe, Spirit… keeps me fed so once I’m inspired I speak to Him and He leads me, helps me to know what to write. God has shown me what I am capable of, and when I forget, He reminds me. This keeps me excited and creative.
Again I want to thank Ellie for including me in this wonderful blog tour! I hope you visit her blog as well as Brenda’s !
