A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be. ~Douglas Pagels
I heard some where that the new generation of spiritual teachers have a spirit of sharing and of inclusion towards each other that the “old” generation apparently does not have. They do not feel a sense of competition towards their fellow spiritual teachers. One person said that competing against each other is an “old” practice and another said that the younger generation understands that there’s really enough to go around. Hearing this confused me….I always thought that the “old” generation of spiritual teachers taught about these very things and did/do it very well. I have seen Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson and Debbie Ford, just to name a few, writing together and promoting each other.
I can go on but I will just stop here. I am not trying to bash anyone, ( hence no names mentioned) I just wanted to say that I believe our spiritual teachers ( old and new) have taught us to not feel competition and that there’s enough to go around…. among many, many other lessons.
Have a blessed Monday!
