Is the one GOD gave me!
This is from A Course In Miracles……
I love A Course In Miracles. And this is so true. How do we find our God-given purpose in life? What do you do or should you do to discover your purpose…your soul’s purpose. Your sole purpose for being here? I would love to hear from any of you on this subject. I will tell you some of the things that I have done that have led me to discover God’s purpose for my life.
#1 I have forgiven and let go of the past. I know this may seem like it has nothing to do with discovering what our souls purpose is but let me explain…… how are we to hear God speak and tell us what our purpose is if we do not have a strong connection to God? I believe that holding unforgiveness and grudges in our hearts builds a wall that keeps us from God and if there is a wall between us and God then how can HE answer our prayers and guide us to know our purpose?
#2 Prayers of Gratitude….yes! Every morning it is very important to wake up and say thank you!! And every night we should take a few minutes before falling asleep and think of 3 things ( or more) that we are grateful for! If you can find something to be grateful for each and everyday then you are going to begin to lift your levels of spirituality to a place where God resides.
#3 READ or LISTEN to spiritual and Inspirational books!! This is very important! I believe that if you can bathe yourself in spirituality and inspiration that you will see your moods reacting accordingly. Bombard yourself with these things as often as possible….while you are driving is a good time to pop in a CD if you have them. If you surround yourself with spirituality and inspiration all of the time and keep an open heart and mind….God will make amazing things start to happen in your life.
These are just 3 of the things that I have done in the last 3 years in order to get me to a place where I was able to discover my souls purpose. Are you doing any of these? Or other things? I have more….about 8 or so more things that have helped me to change my life. But I would like to hear from you.
